Set up and enforce two-factor authentication (2FA)
To help protect your account and sensitive data, BookingPad supports Two-Factor Authentication (2FA). Enabling 2FA adds an extra layer of security by requiring a verification code in addition to your password when logging in using email and password combination. This security measure makes it virtually impossible for an unauthorised third party to gain access to an agent account using basic hacking mechanisms such as phishing attacks, which are well-known and very common in the industry.
How to enable 2FA
In order to activate it, it is necessary to follow these steps:
- Go to "Account Settings"

- Click on "Set up authenticator application"

- Follow the instructions to add the 2FA
On the device Name, you can add a descriptive name that easily reminds you of the account, for example, the Smartphone model.

Search in your Appstore or Google Playstore for "Google Authenticator" or "Microsoft Authenticator"

Select Scan QR Code

In the case that scanning the QR is not working properly, you can manually add the code for the device

How to remove 2FA from an Agent account
If you wish to remove the 2FA, click on "Remove":

Agency Managers can enforce 2FA for all their agency agent accounts (Important!)
Updated on 06-06-2025
Additionally, Agency Managers can also enforce 2FA for all agents which are part of their agency account. This will erase the risk that some agents might not be conscious of how necessary this security check is.
To enable this security measure please on the Agency Portal use the Settings / Enforce MFA option. Have in considerations only Agent accounts set as role Manager have access to the Agency Portal
